I'm no expert, either. But I like them.
I've always appreciated the Panerai look while finding the size of most of them just out of bounds. So I'm all in favor of their current push to maintain good Panerai looks and proportions in smaller sizes. I think this went beautifully with the 42mm Submersible that I own and love, and, though I haven't seen these new 40mm Luminors in person, they look like winners to me.

not as bulbous as the old 40mm Luminor. People who don’t like anything but 47mm Radiomir or 44mm Luminor will be outraged 😂 That’s ok because it’s not their wrist or money.
