Hi, janJ!
We share the same taste in watches, as I own 3 of the 7 Rollies you showed. I am also a happy owner of a Panerai, and I completely agree with the analogy you are trying to make, as I feel that the Panerai's makes us want to bring our extroverted alter ego to show, even our heroic side.
Also, I would like to add that there is nothing boring with your Rolex collection, my friend!
You might consider them Audi's, but those would be S3, S5's or even an R8's, which are a lot of fun to drive.
Thanks for the post and cool pics, specially the ones in water.
Hope you can indulge us Rolo-Boys with some close up shots of your beautiful vintage Rolexes over by the Rolex forum.
Best regards,
Alex

(quote) The ROLEX is a Volvo, Audi, Mercedes, Saab, etc - high price and high quality. You will get value for money even if the price is high. The PANERAI is a Alfa, a Fiat 500, a Morgan, a Lotus Super Seven, a Defender (Land Rover) - High price - but fun...

You've got a great collection of Rolexes and Panerais. Lucky, lucky! I don't currently have either in my collection but they are both on my wish list. I particularly like your "Frogmariner" (green anniversary Sub) Rolex -- as green is my favorite color! Y...
