Nobody knows this....
but the first Panerai I bought, it was what I call an watch "made" by Panerai not A Panerai (in my understanding). I was looking for a GMT, with date and with great "luminescence". I was traveling incessantly through different time zones and at times, waking up in the middle of the night, I needed to see the time...clearly. So, I visited a number of shops in Hong Kong's Nathan Rd and after seeing a number of models, I bought a......PAM184. My first PANERAI, remains the 249 "Cali".
