The ProPlof is an interesting watch but very unstylish. It's as though it was only built for function (which it probably does very well).
I would not mind to own one but to compare it with the PAM305 is something that would not have occurred to me.
One of the aspects (of all of the Panerai divers) that I like is that they remind me of Jules Verne. I can imagine Captain Nemo wearing one.
The Panerai divers are quite unique and the 305 is a wonderful evolution of this line of watches. The Ti case and the 1950's styling add great dimensions.
So, I agree with you entirely and I thank you for the great wrist review that you did of the 305.
I hope to collect my own very soon.

PAM 305 vs OMEGA ProPloff 1200
Which one would you get?? Why?? More or less same size. Prices are close. Both Automatic...and pretty same features. The Omega has He Valve...and coaxial movement. The PAM is equiped with an InHouse movement.... Pam is more wearable IMHO....but the "ugly"...

Both will be to be used in normal rotation with my other 6 PAMs (and other watches I have)...so it will probably get not too much wrist time. That´s why Im not too worried about getting tired of any of them. Nacho

but... may I suggest the PAM 382 for a change. However, if you do not mind my being honest, I'd say the best diver is still DSSD to me. Well made, in house movement, great case and sturdy and hardy. The 305 to me is handsome but DSSD is way more hardy and...
