So here it is . my first T dial.... and to be honest the one watch I never actually thought I would get.
My journey began with thoughts of a humble B series Pam 2...with T dial. Afterall, its very much a fanatstic piece and affordable. Then I saw Sam's T-SWISS-T. I honestly did not know anything about pre V or pre A etc. So began the research into the history.
The fascination made me want a pre A too. Preferably a 2, or 9 or 4. Then stupidly I post here that I too looking for a T SWISS T, and that bloody Frenchman says why do you need a dial with the T?
Ooooffffff... I know think what does he mean??? and then I see the pre V, wow. But the price is more WOW. Even the logo watches bloody expensive!
I quickly gave up on the idea of a pre V. I knew had to release my Pam 28, so I decided on a pre A 4 or 9 for the pvd.
I couldn't believe how expensive these were. But I decided to make the plunge, then out of the blue, I see a private collector advertise a watch I thought was unobtainable.....
It was very keen on price too....because this was no safe queen. It showed a good life! But it was still 15k euro more..
The collector, though offered to take the 28 at a good price as well as my Deepsea. That and succesful sale of some pieces [ No new money for watches, everything has to be sold to fund new
] meant I had enough. I will admit, I was unsure to spend so much on a Panerai... a year ago this would have been inconcievable.
so here it is.....
5218 203/A
enjoy with me this great watch...
