242 A Closer Look

Mar 24, 2009,00:27 AM

I finally chose my new pam and thought id share my thoughts on the 242 IMO one of the big Rads and unique too, some of the reasons why i chose this pam- i went for the look very elegant with a not too busy dial, size was important too 45mm

Taking the covers off this beauty

It is actually thinner than the 287 and looks smaller too this could be because of the rotating bezel gives it the impression of being smaller than 45mm

I really like the silver hands with lume in between another reason for this piece was the JLC movement

The detail to the crowns is just another detail that panerai made sure of

A very beautiful dial to look at only 300 ever made which was another factor for me

Finally a wrist shot and boy does it feel good not too heavy too, also it is so quiet  the JLC movement

I do need someone to tell me how the GMT operates

Thanks  hope you enjoyed it smile

If anyone can tell me how the GMT works that would be great i have an idea but any info will be appreciated
Also tell me your thoughts too
