because you really don't have any overlap with the exception of having all Luminors if you decide to get the PAM332, however the PAM332 will be your first 1950 Luminor w/ domed crystal. You don't have any Radiomirs or ceramics so the PAM292 will fit well ... 

of getting the one first then the other one later?

332 I just find to be a nicer watch

All for the responses. After wearing both the 332 and 292 I opted to take the 292. I love this watch. Now its time to play with strap combos.
