New York, NY – (May 22, 2013) – On Thursday, American fashion designer, Ralph Lauren, [EDITOR'S NOTE: along with Revolution Magazine USA and Jack Forster] hosted a private champagne reception to celebrate the U.S. debut of the RL67 Safari collection. Mr. Lauren presented the novelties, including the Ralph Lauren Safari RL67 Tourbillon and the RL67 Chronometer, at the 888 Madison Avenue flagship.
RALPH LAUREN CELEBRATES THE RL67 SAFARI COLLECTION
Introduced in January at the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie, the RL67 Tourbillon received rave reviews from watch aficionados. A bold and sophisticated sport watch, the timepiece is equipped with the brand's first tourbillon complication. In addition, the company presented the COSC-certified RL67 Chronometer timepiece which is distinguished by a dial with Arabic numerals, boldly sized at 6 and 12 o'clock and comes on Ralph Lauren's signature faded olive canvas strap.
To add to the evening's excitement, Mr. Lauren had his vintage Series 1 Land Rover from 1950 parked outside the boutique along with a matte black Land Rover Defender owned by his brother, Jerry Lauren. Additionally, models dressed in safari-attire greeted guests. Throughout the evening, watch enthusiasts and clients enjoyed passed champagne and hors d'oeuvres, mingled outside on the terrace and took advantage of the intimate showroom setting to admire the new timepieces.
