Officine Panerai is pleased to announce the release of the new P.5000 movement.  This hand-wound mechanical movement features an 8-day power reserve, visible through the sapphire crystal window set in the back, and has been completely developed and constructed in Officine Panerai's Neuchâtel manufacture.  The two new P.5000 timepieces – the PAM 510 Luminor Marina 8 Days – 44MM and the PAM 511 Luminor Marina 8 Days Oro Rosso – 44MM – feature the classic aesthetics of the Luminor Marina, notable for its minimalistic case and dial design.  

The 8-day power reserve has long been a part of the history of Officine Panerai. During the 1940s and early 1950s, Panerai introduced a manual, 8-day movement into their collections to meet the requirements of the commandos of the Italian Navy.  Today, the P.5000 movement represents the next step towards full in-house production for all Panerai timepieces while simultaneously introducing a more accessible price point for manual pieces to existing and new Panerai enthusiasts.
