Chinese actress Li Bingbing is newest Carl F. Bucherer Global Brand Ambassador
The luxury watch brand Carl F. Bucherer presented the internationally renowned actress Li Bingbing as its global brand ambassador at a press conference in Beijing. The traditional Swiss watch manufacturer is thus sending a strong message in Greater China and around the world.

Over 200 print, television, and online journalists from Asia accepted the invitation to come to the prestigious Rosewood Hotel for the presentation of Li Bingbing as the first global brand ambassador of Carl F. Bucherer. The successful actress and singer is not only one of the greatest movie stars in Asia, she is also highly popular in Hollywood. Given her international acclaim, this beautiful Chinese celebrity is the perfect choice as a global ambassador for the Lucerne-based watch manufacturer. Sascha Moeri, CEO of Carl F. Bucherer explains: “We are absolutely delighted to be working with Li Bingbing. She is an enormously talented actress. Li Bingbing, who has starred in blockbusters including Transformers and Resident Evil, is regarded as passionate, committed, and authentic both on and off the screen. Her various engagements include the cooperation with UNEP and other important NGOs such as WildAid and WWF on numerous environmental campaigns. She was the first Chinese woman to speak at the UN Climate Change Conference. She dedicates her reputation and her influence to leading a responsible life, and to spreading these ideals in China and beyond.

Li Bingbing
Li Bingbing is China’s most internationally appealing award-winning actress. She won the “Best Actress” Awards at the 2007 Huabiao Awards, the highest film awards held by the Chinese government. At the 2008 Hundred Flowers Awards, Li Bingbing gained the highest people’s choice awards for her performance in The Knot and the Best Leading Actress Award at the 46th Golden Horse Film Awards for her role in the espionage spy thriller The Message. In 2013, Li Bingbing played Ada Wong in Resident Evil: Retribution. This blockbuster won her high recognition and popularity in Hollywood. Her most pivotal role in Hollywood is however in Transformers: Age of Extinction, a huge box-office record-breaker in China. Recently Li Bingbing starred in and produced the Hollywood production Nest 3D to be released in 2016.
In 2009 Li Bingbing established her own charity brand „LOVE“ to promote a "Responsible Life" with a focus on carbon emission reduction and environmental protection. In 2010, in recognition of her special contribution to the cause of wildlife and environment protection, UNEP appointed Li Bingbing as global Goodwill Ambassador, the first Asian woman to assume this position. In the last 7 years she strongly supported the WWF Earth Hour campaign. In 2014, Li Bingbing was honored to become the first Asian celebrity to address the UN General Assembly in English at the UN Climate Summit.
Li Bingbing was titled “Fashion Icon” both for her countless infallible appearances at international red-carpet events, as well as for her splendid performances on main fashion magazine covers.
