Vintage Minerva Chronograph: The ancestor of the Montblanc 1858 Tachymeter?

From time to time, we'll revisit some nice vintage Minerva Chronographs, to share the DNA of the current Montblanc Villeret Chronographs.

Here, a chronograph from the 40's.

Luminous hour markers, hands, and even the case have been borrowed for the 1858 Tachymeter, obviously.

As well as the coaxial mono pusher.

The snail dial is one of the differences, as well as the size of the case, which is, here, 42 mm ( versus 44 mm ), and the shape of the crown.

The telemeter let its place for a tachymeter, too.

Best,

Nicolas
