I like the dial too, not my kind of case finish, though.
Such a beautiful and stunning movement.

By: mj23 : January 18th, 2019-16:52
Pretty exciting news from Montblanc's release of Minerva split second chrono. The movement looks amazing at a good price point, IMHO. Surprised it did not receive much coverage from SIHH. Here's the link to more details, watchesbysjx.com l What do you...
Great! Thanks, Nico

Looking forward to your photos and review..I know you'd be very excited about this one.. I remember you've been asking for it.๐
I know MB was paying respect to the historical Minerva dial

but really wished they had taken the leap with a green dial. Based on their recent history, I would expect a few more versions of this rattrapante released over the next few years as MB rides this wave. Donโt you think?
I couldnโt believe the price either.

Have to check several times to make sure I was not dreaming. But at this pricing point, itโs not much different from the chrono only version. Not sure what their strategy is.

And a great price. I wish they would have done it with the 13.xx movement, though. Or...also with the 13.
I love the movement

but the watch is pretty big, still a good value. I own the 1858 monopusher in SS with the blue dial and at 42mm it is the perfect chrono, same movement minus the spit second addition. Won the best chrono of the year in 2016. I also like the salmon dial ch...
Yes it is 44mm

Sorry about th error, but the watch fits my 6.75 inch wrist very well, that is why I thought it was 42mm. ;-). I just ordered the salmon dial 1858 in Bronze, the rose gold movement is beatiful...Jim ...

It is certainly something that has been asked of the manufacture on several occasions. And deliver they did! While I hope for a non-bronze case in due course this is a very appealing piece, and - as you say - fantastic value!
