Montblanc Villeret Exotourbillon Rattrapante. A Masterpiece of fine horology.

Maybe the finest watch from Montblanc Villeret.

Here we have:

- A manual winding chronograph with a Rattrapante which is not modular, but integrated.

- A sublime Tourbillon with its hyper finished bridge which requires one week of work.

- Enamel dial.

- One of the most beautiful movement, in terms of decoration and finishings.

- An exquisite mother of pearl star, in the crown.

- A very nice case, which, despite its generous size ( 47 mm ) is wearable for a normal wrist like mine ( 17 cm big ).

I was very lucky to meet our friend Penfriend who is even luckier to own such a marvel.

Here are the photos I could take at Watches and Wonders, during our short meeting.

Ok, if I had to find one reserve, it would be the size of this watch. Because it also existed, with a different dial, in 44 mm case, and only because the 44 mm case existed.

But it is certainly not a no go for me.

When we think of fine horology, this one is certainly the watch I would keep in mind.

Best,

Nicolas

the tourbillon easily takes the whole timepiece to another level. The bridge itself is phenomenal. The entire movement captivating. Cheers, Filip

The trajectory taken by Montblanc is very impressive!

I'd love to know what goes on in the background but there is a lot of grey matter behind this one, and great execution skills. Best, E.

A hearty feast for the eyes!

I like the design of the front tourbillon bridge, while the back looks impressively thick. The seconds sub-dial and minutes sub-dial looks, at first glance like binary. Amazing!

Must be an incredibly satisfying watch to wear

I wish it wasnt a regulator. Not a fan of regulator watches.

Make sense! It should be all about the watch! Cheers

Do you think people wait a bit longer to see where the brand goes? In term of vision, longevity but also service? Best, E.

they have dozens of watchmakers taking care of the service

These Minerva movements are fantastic ! With a diameter of 47mm however more of a showpiece to demonstrate the horological knowhow.

it has been sitting on my wrist for nearly three weeks now, and I have a regular sized wrist.
