Montblanc Timewalker Urban Speed ExoTourbillon Chronograph World Premiere in Singapore

Dec 04, 2015,07:57 AM

I have the kind permission to share pictures of this new release (pre SIHH 2016) from Montblanc's global CEO, Mr Jerome Lambert, on PuristSPro smile

To be honest, I saw this watch last week when Mr Alex Schmidt was in town but I was not allowed to post this pic then as it was still under embargo.

Some quick facts for now and I will be sharing more details soon. This watch has the same ExoTourbillon chronograph movement as the Heritage Chronometrie ExoTourbillon Minute Chronograph but now presented in the very sporty Timewalker Urban Speed collection with the consistent black and red color theme. In addition, it is cased in the same Timewalker case as the Timewalker Chronograph 100, which is a watch case with a sporty design and constructed from materials very much inspired from auto racing, with titanium and carbon fibre. It is also a limited edition watch and only 100 pieces will be produced.

There is a lot to cover for this watch and I will do that in due time. It is a lot of watch, a high complication in a very robustly constructed case at a very competitive price - these are my first impressions. And for those who like motor sports and drive sports cars, this watch is a great complement.

The watch was introduced to a few Montblanc VIP customers last night in a private dinner with Mr Lambert as well as launched tonight by Montblanc and Sincere Fine Watches Singapore. I was fortunate to be invited for both nights' events and will share some pictures of our dinner last night here.

Fine Japanese dining! Love it.

My worthy and handsome companion last night - the Heritage Spirit Orbis Terrarum

Mr Lambert sharing about the ExoTourbillon Chronograph functions.

The 1858 Chronograph in steel and blue dial was the watch on his wrist

Piece unique high jewelry lady Villeret watch

One of my personal favorites - the Heritage Spirit Perpetual Calendar sapphire

A piece unique Montblanc Villeret Regulator Power Reserve belonging to a fellow collector. A very humble gentleman smile

A lovely Montblanc Villeret Vintage Pulsograph with white grand feu enamel dial

Montblanc Boheme Moongarden in gold with diamonds. My wife will love this!

And at the Sincere cocktail party tonight, I wore my Montblanc Villeret chronograph grand feu enamel (41mm). A movement shot I took today.

At the cocktail I met a collector with the big brother watch of mine ! The 47mm grande chronograph grand feu enamel also in white gold black enamel dial and also piece 1 of 8!

I will definitely return to the Timewalker Urban Speed ExoTourbillon Chronograph with more details. Soon , I will also be able to share more details on other SIHH 2016 Montblanc watches so stay tuned on our forum smile

Cheers
Robin

The new Montblanc Timewalker Exo Tourbillon is very clear to read

I like this watch as its legible despite so much space taken by the tourbillon. The style should appeal to a different demographic than the usual boring old men. The relatively reasonable pricing is key to sales....and of course....showing on PuristSPro !...

I agree MTF!

I love classical watches but when I have one too many, a sporty looking watch with high complications and a techy case can be good for rotation. Cheers Robin

What is the little pointer above the 12?

I can't see any function for it - perhaps a color touch to brighten the top of the dial? Cazalea

It can shoot laser at enemy agents

According to the Q Lol kidding It is more a design element. Cheers Robin

Yup, I saw that in Tokyo as well.....

The red lining between the glass and the bezel is actually the red-colored gasket, and keeps the black/red color Montblanc high-end chronograph series. Impressive. Same or quite similar case structure as the predecessors. Again, sorry for my poor quality ...

Thanks Ken for the superb pics and video!
