Montblanc × Collective Horology 1858 Minerva Monopusher Chronograph “Blue Arrow”

Montlblanc just unveiled a new version of the 1858 Red Arrow, issued in 2022, which I reviewed here.

This year, Montblanc issued a small series of 1858 Minerva mono pusher with a blue arrow this time for an US retailer " Collectiv Horology. Same steel case proportions ( 42 mm / circa 13 mm high ), same bezel, same movement, of course... The only thing which changes is the dial and the use of the good old Minerva logo at 6 o' clock, plus the two sub dials in a creamy color, like if Time offered them patina.

I am not sure of the patina of the subdials, truth to be told.

And there is something else I quite regret... The fact that the dial is not enameled, but lacquered. This version is 10% more expensive than the " Red Arrow ". It could be 10% more for an enamel dial, it would be better.

And as we are at it... Why not a tad smaller case? 40 mm would be perfect.

The superb movement, Cal 13.21 would be less lost!

And well, 33 pieces... That doesn't make sense.

Now, the biggest problem I have is the patina of the two subdials.

What do you think?

Best,

Nicolas
