Proportions are perfect on this dial. Excuted well with crisp lettering. Leaf Blued hands. 34 mm x 9 mm … instant smile maker on the wrist.
Sometimes I wish JJ Frey made had made this in 38 mm as well but I realise he wanted to stay true to the original sizes of the Pythagores from the 1940’s with this model.
I like knowing that that these neo vintage beauties were hand finished. And finished well enough IMHO. Especially cool to know that JJ Frey’s hands themselves likely worked on this watch in some capacity. At the time of production (circa 1998), I believe that Minerva only had 8 staff working in the factory.
This is the charm and heritage and provenance … not just the watch … but the story and people behind the piece.

I find Habring to be a spiritual successor. And their pricing is still very reasonable 😊 The advantage, if you decide yourself and do many things in house is you do not have to fully follow the market pricing trends but can stay accessible to your custome...

Now that you mention it, I can see the parallels. Even in some of their designs. Old school class. Richard Habring is doing his thing and seems like he really cares and loves watches himself. How is the company doing financially? Strong? 🤝
