just arrived in time for xmas

greetings and salutations purists, after what feels to be an eternity my AD called today to announce my JLC has arrived. Just some background to this story i originally was going to buy a patek 5980 however on getting together with Mr Lambert and some other JLC reps during the recent rugby world cup here i really felt the urge to get a reverso again as i'd previously sold a grande sun moon in rose gold a few years earlier and always regretted it.So to cut a long story short i bought a Patek 5711 and this grande date instead. To me both watches are iconic designs that will never date and always make me feel happy whenever i put them on, in fact other than the possible future purchase of a polaris or a 50 fathoms i really do not feel the urge to buy anything else in the near future and really do feel at peace with what i have.

Not that the 5980 is not a good watch, it is, but getting a 5711 and a Reverso Grande Date is a very cool option. It was the 2d Grande Date of the modern era, the first being the Septantieme. As for new releases, take your time, enjoy what you have, then ...

i would never buy a piece of art just because it could be a good investment , you must love it first, if afterwards it turns out to be a good investment then thats a bonus. i will regard my timepieces the same into the future. best darma
