A short visit to the Atelier de la Joaillerie let me speechless...

Not that I'm a big fan of full of diamonds or other jewelled watches, BUT...

But, I have to admit that on some small watches, it may really be an awesome association, or on some very few realisations, like on the 101, and the latest JLC creations, like the " Lierre " for example.

But, I also have to say that the work made on these pieces is just fascinating.

Just break one jewel, and you have to take off the others, and to do again the work...

You need a lot of skill and patience to do that!

Tempted by the experience?

I have to confess that I don't see myself doing this job, I would turn mad at the end of only 30 minutes!

I took a few pics of this work, and I had the feeling, when viewing them, that I attended a spatial trip!

For ladies only in my opinion. I have to say though that JLC make some of the most beautiful jewelled ladies watches in the market place. Just my opinion you understand. Cheers David

But the required skill for this kind of work is really impressive. After, you are sensible or not to the jewelled watches, this is a matter of taste. To me, on some thin and small watches, it may look good. Best, my friend. Nicolas

I too am not a fan of gemstones on watches, however I happen to associate such time pieces with that of fine women. You could say that these watches are the equivalent of feminine beauty and thus can equally be cherished and respected as we do non-gemston...

That's an exception we share! ) I will try to take some pics of this watch, as the ones I took at the Manufacture weren't good at all. When I saw it, I was immediately thinking that I had to do a post on it, but the quality of my pics is catastrophic. Bes...

You know the problem, when you take Hundreds and Hundreds of pictures... At the end, when you check them on your computer screen, you see that some are really too ugly to be posted... But will find you the Reverso 101! Thanks for your nice words, Sister. ...
