I too am not a fan of gemstones on watches, however I happen to associate such time pieces with that of fine women. You could say that these watches are the equivalent of feminine beauty and thus can equally be cherished and respected as we do non-gemstone watches. ;-)
I do agree with you in that these watches can be just as complicated as complications themselves! Unique pieces of sparkled stones of immortality in their entirety.

For ladies only in my opinion. I have to say though that JLC make some of the most beautiful jewelled ladies watches in the market place. Just my opinion you understand. Cheers David

I would compare this work to
A fine decorated movement, or a skeleton, as I see it more like a work of decoration than a complication. But I agree, this is Art, pure Art! Best, and thanks for this nicely written input. Nicolas

That's an exception we share! ) I will try to take some pics of this watch, as the ones I took at the Manufacture weren't good at all. When I saw it, I was immediately thinking that I had to do a post on it, but the quality of my pics is catastrophic. Bes...
