Hello- I currently have a MC GMT that I am having a VERY hard time reading due to the glare of the crystal. The combination of the polished hands, shiny black face and flat crystal has made this watch almost unreadable in many situations. I never noticed ... 

Not sure if this a prefered or recommended method. You could have the AR coating buffed away. A few of my friend who dive have done to their watches due to poor visibility underwater. Not sure of the implication to the sapphire, if any.

JLC sporty watches receive an AR sapphire, while the others don't. It is very easy to remove it, though. Remove your sapphire and use some " produit vaisselle " ( Dish soap, in English ? ). I will ask for a confirmation from my contact. Best, Nicolas This...

As always in Life there are principles and exceptions. It all depends on the date of the Production, and on the color of the dial. Rather than saying that only sport watches have AR Coating, it is more correct to say that a big majority of black dialed pi...

Removal: There were a few scratches on the outer AR coating of a watch I purchased second hand. I brought it for servicing, and asked to polish both the case and the crystal. The result is stunning. (Blancpain Léman Moon Phases, old 38 mm version.) N...
