Anything is possible, as ageing varries from one to another. A change of dial can easily be spotted, as I doubt any polaris has had an 'official' dial exchange other the past 40 years. So, if your dial is not fully original, that means it would have been ... 

First of all, welcome here! As Clavi said, all is possible. But even in the configuration you describe, your dial may be original. Some original dials still glows in the dark, but not a long time. If you have a black light, it will help you a lot. Expose ...
