I'm tempted to dress the new Master Calendar in Wine (burgandy, but light burgandy) or even red croc. The red would pick out the red of the date hand. Having said that Blue would pick out the blue in the moonphase, but I already have blue for the RDM. Suc...

A good start, without doubt. Welcome here. As for your strap question, you should try a grey, a light grey crocodile, and a darker one. It will match with the dial, and it will also dress it up. Not that it needs to be dressed up, but you will keep a cert... 

My personal favorite is both of those pieces on a navy (not bright blue). I find it perfectly matches the moonphase and blued hands. Same on many of the Reversos, and the navy looks great with jeans or a navy suit. -Dean
