2020 Novelty: Jaeger Lecoultre Master Ultra Thin Tourbillon Moon.

 By: amanico : November 16th, 2020-23:00
Jaeger Lecoultre has just unveiled the Master Ultra Thin Tourbillon Moon. You know the Master Ultra Thin Tourbillon quite well, as we had these last years, several iterations of it, the last one housing the superb guillochΓ© blue enamel in 2019. Here, the ...

Have to agree.

Absolutely stunning!

I must say it looks nice and a fresh iteration of their MUT Tourbillon but not really what we all want at the moment...

Hopefully they are taking the necessary steps to move JLC back into the conversation where they rightly belong πŸ˜‰πŸ‘

LOL, you and me both πŸ˜‚πŸ€£

Well said.

Very very classy!

I love the color combo of the RG case and ivory dial as well as the overall esthetic. My only objection is the date hand on a tourbillon dial. While I absolutely love date hands, this one will obstruct the view of the tourbillon about 8 days a month. With...

Actually it is a jumping date Daniel so the date indicator jumps from.15 to 16 across the Tourbillon cage to not obstruct the view, same as their previous versions...

 By: holdemchamp1225 : November 17th, 2020-04:08
If you look at the dial again, you will see that the 15 and 16 are indicating by a small dot on either side of the 14 (on the right side of the Tourbillon) and the 15 (on the left side of the Tourbillon). So the indicator hand would not obstruct the view ...

Thanks for pointing this out, dear Champ

I didnβ€˜t notice this when checking out the dial. Pretty cool, I must say! Congrats to JLC for this solution.

A beautiful piece.

Lovely piece as a whole and with its details. For me with one little exception: the moon hand is not necessary at all and does not really have any additional real value... Of course they wanted to mimic the tourbillion circle, but I think a ;)

Of course they wanted to mimic the tourbillion circle, but e.g. with a sapphire disc and 2 moon symbols on it, it would have been nicer...

Pretty watch...

...but I don't like the break in the date from 5 to 7, but I do like the way they handled the moon phase dial. As always I prefer the tourbillon visible from the back only but only PP seems to do that these days...

And Laurent Ferrier

 By: mrds : November 17th, 2020-12:29
... but you may count him as a PP disciple too Daniel

I really like the LF offerings...

 By: mdg : November 17th, 2020-12:47
...my only qualifier is the writing on the dial. I especially love the sport tourbillon for its sheer audacity.

I am partial to the Galet

 By: mrds : November 17th, 2020-13:00
as Iβ€˜m not a big fan of tourbillons in sports watches, and the Grand Sport case is too close to that icon in this category which is the Nautilus. But of course this is all purely a matter of personal preference. And on the back side, all LFs are pure marv...

Of course!
