Jaeger-LeCoultre

Wow! What a Duo! The first one is Sublime, congratulations...

My Septantieme has been seized today on its way back from service by the OZ Customs, sniff, sniff. Although I did declare it on may way out, with pictures and all (I have a Customs declaration), the technicality is....well...very technicalsmile the watch left with me, fine, but it came back with FedEx and as this particular watch has a Crocodile/Aligator strap!!! and I do not have a license to import "Crocodilians goods!!)......the Septantieme has been seized!? If the watch had come back with me, on my wrist or my luggage, there would have been no problem, but because it came back with FedEx, there is a problem!!! The Law! they say, crocodiles are a protected/endangered species?! Tell that to the Northern Territory people or the ones who have been made a meal to the crocodiles. Anyhow, I am pretty sure that the very "used" (11 years) strap on my watch was of an already dead crocodile, although, I have to admit than when contemplating this wonderful watch...at times...I thought it was alive! Not of course the crocodile but the watch itself! as the light plays so beautifully and charmingly with the dial. The lawyers make the Law? Is this correct?
I detest lawyers, they have a very limited aperture of sight and Spirit ....purposely, of course smile "clin d'oeil" to the sooooooo many lawyers on this Fantastic Forum, but come on Mates! Don't you think that it is about time to give "intelligence a go? Instead of always going for the lower common denominator for your own preservation!

I apologise of course if my comments are out of context.
Cheers to all and I will post pictures of the Septantieme as soon as I can resolve this hitch.
