I am not sure the diameter given from the website is the actual inner case only or it's including the 'outer' area including the lug? I drew a quick illustration below, is this correct? If not, what is the actual diameter of the area I drew? Thanks guys....  

In that case, the Grande isn't that terribly large then. I thought I read it somewhere that the 46.5mm doesn't include the lug area, but maybe I just misunderstood...

I don't think I will have problem with the thickness because one of my watches (Seiko Premier SPB001 Auto) is also as thick as that (I think it's around 1.2cm or 1.3cm thick in 42mm case) As long as the thickness doesn't make the watch look disproportiona...  

And I love it too, but I'm not disturbed at all by the thickness of my 70eme, which is like the watch you consider, an XGT case. To be tried, but don't think it is a problem. Best, Nicolas

As long as it's not thick like those 1000mm pro dive watches, it should be fine.
