Does it offer more than a Piguet or a Zenith?
No, but not less, neither, if the Zenith is not a Flyback ( I have a doubt on this particular point ).
Perfect reset to zero?
Normally, yes, and in a vast majority.
But some owners mentionned this problem, which has been solved after a service.
Give it a 2d chance, because you may be amazed by the different feeling a strap can give to a watch.
But, if you still hesitate, or are not 100% convinced, pass on it.
There are other JLC watches, ( or non JLC ) which may also be a good alternative.

Welcome, I have a MC Chronograph on the Aligator strap and love it. It is reliable, comfortable and this JLC 751 movement is quite nice compared to the others you mentioned. It is a great watch and a good all around preformer from JLC. Of course I am bias...
Black leather strap?

But I think that if you ask to your AD, he will be able to provide you OEM Black calf strap, or a black croc. Best, Nicolas

...but is this the color of the brown strap of the MCC or another one? If my eyes still see, I think it is closer to black than brown and looks different from the strap in their official site: jlc.watchprosite.com
