Vintage JLC Military watches: The 5th has landed.

A family picture which means a lot for me.

Indeed, with the arrival of this pocket watch which was used by the British Army, I ended my personal trip into Vintage JLC Military watches.

Now, the Mark VII, the Weems, the WWW, the Mark XI and this pocket watch are here, all together.

Note that some elements of style are shared by the pocket watch and the WWW: the same cathedral hands, for example, radium hands and numbers, the same overall rough look.

Rough, maybe, but far from being unpleasant don't you think?

It is a pocket watch I won at the Art Curial Auction in Nov 2011. Something I really wanted to include in the collection.

Now I can focus on two other themas which are very dear to me: The Divers, and the Chronometers.

A story with a far end.

Lovely collection of military issued JLCs. I have a big soft spot for the little Weems.

The Little Weems has a lot of character. Still prefer the Mark 11, but I am under the charm of the Mark 7 Weems. [nt]
