I was very impressed when i handled it ,the main feature for me is that JLC managed to keep it in a Duometre size case, making this watch wearable and elegant, what a great effort.
Technically ,its magical, the same kind of magic that the Gyro produces, aestethically its a winner for me apart from a little bit too much text on the dial,I would have removed some.
The second time zone is a nice idea, curious but nice.
All in all I think the gyro1 is still the king of achivement, but given the chance to choose one I will opt for the Pt spherotourbillon as I think its the most understated of the big multi axial tourbi around, especially because the cage its hidden under your cuff, showing only the well arranged time dial, what a class!
Lastly the finishing is superior than the previous Duo,but not dramatically different i would say, understandable as the Duometre always had a very nice price for what they offered,if the finish was a la Lange ,or the Duo was a Lange watch it would cost 3 times more for sure.
Also the price of the sphero is quite contained compared with other brands offers of the same caliber.
I am happy with the latest Duo ,,,one regret,,,it will remain a platinum dream.
Thanks again Nico
