Tribute to Polaris Strap Question

May 29, 2012,08:35 AM

I know we have discussed this before, but after doing a search I could not confirm all the information.

I am once again thinking about a strap change for the TTP'65.  Am I right that the measurements are 22mm at the lugs, 20mm at the buckle and curved spring bars?  And the original strap is the standard length, right?

Also would appreciate any recommendations for strap manufacturers you have used for your Polaris (by PM, of course).

Anyway, as i searched through past posts on teh forum, I was reminded of all the great strap options you have all tried on this amazing watch.  I must say, the Pola looks good in most shoes.

Best and thanks,

respo

22 mm / 20 mm, correct. Standard lenght, too.

How about brown?

This particular strap is probably not what I will go with in the end (the strap is too short), but as far as color is concerned I am liking the dark brown strap with the black and gray of the dial and the steel case. Thoughts?...

The Polaris Tribute works great with aftermarket straps . . .

I have a 68 -- the spring bar is NOT curved. The OEM strap is 22/20. I have an ammo strap inbound -- 22/22 with an aftermarket buckle. In the meantime, I have an old Panerai Mare strap on it....

Selection of Straps.

The funny thing is that when I visited them, I asked to see their old leather, and if it was possible to make some straps without stitching... They were a bit dubitative... It was 5 years ago.... ;) Best, Nicolas
