My watches are for ages with my watchmaker...annoying to hell...but once at different watchmaker it was quick and disastroussmile
Think that sending to JLC and getting it back will also take some time.

As for service. If you have good trustworthy independent watchmaker you have relationship in past or very good reference I would go for that...it should be quicker and cheaper. Cheers D

I do have a couple guys I’ve used and both good. One is JLC trained and is excellent but communication with him was poor and he had my watch a long time. Appreciate your reply.

I would always favor JLC through your AD or Boutique if you have good relations with them.

For vintage, it is a different thing. For moderns such as yours, I would first ask your AD or Boutique to give you informations about the price and the time. I assume it is just a service? Best, Nicolas

in case that something needs to be replaced, not to be limited to just a "generic overhaul". (Minimum, the two mainsprings should be routinely replaced.) Richemont service is then an obvious option. I had my JLC serviced by a JLC trained local independent...

it needs a service. Not meaning to be patronising. Can you give us some symptoms of problems? If it is keeping time and running fine, absolutely do not open it for 'routine maintenance'.
