Jaeger-LeCoultre

The most important...

thing is no the number of jewels used in a mechanism, the most important is how this jewels are used, where they are used.

So, the rule is easy.... more jewels don´t means a high caliber, the important thing is they are used in the ok parts of this mechanism.

This point, the number of jewels, was used in the past like a marketing argument.

The synthetic Rubies (or industrial jewels) are employed in the axes of most moving parts of the mechanism to avoid the wear of these parts over thetime, given the hardness and wear resistance of these Rubies.
