from the rose gold movement plates and bridges to the double-sided complications which paved the way for the Duoface, one of JLC's longest-running hits. The tourbillon was amazing, the repeater with non-circular gongs was unbelievable because the sonority ended up being pretty good, despite the non-circle. The geographic made possible much of the current double faced Reversos, and the QP produced the thinnest perpetual calendar module ever made by any brand - if I recall correctly.
What amazes me was that it was all done in the Grande Taille (Large Size), which is small compared to the XGT or even the Current "large" Reversos.
In 2001, the Platinum series began, but didn't get much past 3 pieces, as tastes began to change and favored larger watches.
However, as a spin-off, the Chrono spawned the Reverso Gran' Sport Chronograph, which was so expensive to produce I heard that JLC lost money on every one ever produced (not sure if that's true, but that was the rumor).
Look forward to reading the Saga and especially of seeing some good macro shots of the lineup.
