The strap and buckle are more important, IMO.

I really understand you getting one for your E 855, looks really great!

Makes me think I should do the same with mine…

 

My E 855 (similar dial as yours) has a repainted/service dial, so because of that (I think) I never got the right feeling for that watch.

It’s beautiful, a true classic, but the repainted dial makes me … You know…

Now it is at the watchmaker getting a face lift (found a NOS dial thru PuristS PRO friends smile), and hopefully the right feeling will come.

 

Here is an “ before ” shot, will post an “ after “ shot ASA I get it back from the watchmaker.

 

 

 

I actually went so far as to get another E 855 (Ebony indexes) but that one has been for service since I picked it up – so I have never had a proper chance to wear it…

 

 

 

Hopefully this one will give me the right feeling right away!

In mean time - I am waiting on the other one which I have no doubt about, I found such a one and now the question - on inside its only signed stainless steel and end links numbers are 61251-E, 61346-E whats yours opinion - would be original and would it g...
