I would prefer a grey strap to match the gray as red is not my color but for photographs it really makes the watch pop!!
Would agree with you on the date window matching the dial would have been a great move but not a deal breaker on this watch!

As to celebrate the unveiling of the new Master Control Memovox, here is a vintage one, the Memovox E 873, from the very early 70's.
Seen in Paris some 3 years ago. A superb dial, don't you think? Best, Nicolas ...
