Jaeger-LeCoultre

Some answers

The first Memovox was released in 1950, with a round 34 or 35 mm Case, and tubular lugs.

It wasn't , at its beginning, a sport Diving watch, but a dressy and elegant watch.

A ref E 855 with a black dial came in the Sixties, and in 1963 came the Polaris, which is also a Memovox.

So you got it, Memovox is the Family name of these alarm watches, which weren't always round, in the 70 ies.

Will JLC release a Polaris in current production?

I don't think so.

But will JLC fill the gap of the discontinued Master Compressor?

It is possible, yes, but only JLC knows what watch they will release, but I think it is possible, as Alarm Watches are a big part of JLC History, and should I say...D.N.A?

Stay tuned, I will post next week a review on something you will like...

Best.

Nicolas.
