I wrote that, because in my humble opinion JLC is trying to do too many things at once.
It is doing high horology, with the Gyrotourbillon, Master Repeater etc etc. I expect more such high complications to emerge from Le Sentier.
It is making low price high horology with the Master Tourbillon, which costs less than some STT/Progress based tourbillons. I suspect this is the first of a series of affordable complications.
It has a complete range of sports watches with the Compressor range, it is even going after the Offshore market with the Extreme Chronograph.
It is doing avante garde complications like the Amvox 2 chronograph, which again I suspect is the first of such unusual complications. And the Amvox is a lot more affordable than one would expect for such a quirky 'complication'.
That is not even including the Master and Reverso series, which can be reasonbly considered dress/complication bread and butter range.
In its current state JLC's collection is already immensely broad, but arguably without depth. Assuming it continues to grow in all the directions it is going today, it will grow even more wide.
My point is this, how can a firm reasonably expect to do all of that, and still maintain its public image? I'm not even sure what exactly is the image JLC is trying to project. Some retailers, whose opinion I respect, have told me the exact same thing. It is difficult to sell a Gyrotourbillon when the same company makes a regular tourbillon for nearly 10% of the Gyro's cost.
