Quick Release Spring Bars on Duometre?

I saw this on instagram and was wondering if anyone has done quick release spring bars on their Duometre. I stopped by the JLC boutique in NYC today and they weren't aware of any quick release spring bar options from the factory. After a little googling I haven't been able to find any aftermarket gold quick release spring bars so maybe people are using stainless bars successfully on precious metal cases. I was under the impression spring bars and case material needed to match to prevent ovaling of the pin holes (e.g. PP 5524 quick release bars are gold) but when I asked the boutique about this and they said all the spring bars are steel even on the precious metal cases. Is anyone running quick release bars on their Duometre and/or have any thoughts on whether running steel spring bars in a platinum case would create an issue? TIA!

I am not aware of quick release spring bars as an option for the Duometre. Only aftermarket, for me. As for steel spring bars in a platinum case, no problem. As long as you avoid scratching the lugs when putting the bars. Best, Nicolas

Once i started using them, i never wanted something different again. So comfortable.

You should only avoid pt bars for your gold and ss watch and ss bars for your gold watch. Everything else is going to be fine imo. I use the spring bars from Camille Fournet and i think they are reliable. Best, Reuven

I've never had them on a watch but they look like a no brainier, debateing the security vs convenience factor but leaning towards giving them a try.

Jean Rousseau on Madison will put quick release on any strap you order.
