Since how didn't we have a discussion on the Reverso Sun Moon Platinum? An Eternity! It is a bit JLC's Fault... I made a search on the former catalogs, and I noticed that, if they communicated on the Sunn Moon-which was introduced in 1999, by the way- the...  

I am a huge fan of the "platinum series",why?Because they are absolutely gorgeous,delivered by JLC in a time when the munufacture needed to push its precious models and distinguish them from the rest of the collection,the collectors wanted to see and feel... 

Lately i am really attracted by platinum cases on brown semigloss straps...or tan....that will pick up the gold/bronze accent on the dial.........lovely. Mo

No need to go for the top of the top of unaffordable high horology to get an exciting product... One example I know you will agree with me: The Duometre. ;) But I also agree with you when you say that you regret to not see this kind of product anymore... ... 

The Duometre line fills that middle ground that is very very satisfactory. But that probably the only example,apart from other rare cases. On one hand the very limited use of platinum cases( c mon its the most satisfactory material to many of us..)if not ... 

I am not so keen on the "art deco" finish of mouvements in general but that's just my taste. I also found when trying on the 1931 Tribute which has, if I am not mistaken the same dimensions as the Septantieme, at the Paris boutique in January, that the 19... 

Than the 70eme. I really love the case of the TTR 1931. Which I find remarkable, even if I would slightly prefer to see it slightly smaller in size. Nonetheless, I find it to be a successful watch, and I am not the only one to think so, if you see how pop... 

which include the Alligatoridae of which the Alligator Mississippiensis is only one of 8 specie, then there is the Crocodilydae which is composed of 14 species and finally the Gavialidae of which the Gavialis gangeticus is the only member. So little time....

IMO JLC has done some cool and unique colored dials for their LE's and this one is no different. Only critique is that I can do without the 'Reverso' text but that's personal preference. Thanks for the share. -MW

I'm glad to read about the roots of my modern Sun-Moon. Clearly, it came from a handsome lineage. Nicholas, do you know why the original Sun-Moon was discontinued and replaced with the last iteration? Also, why did JLC decide to axe the Sun-Moon reverso a...  

Replaced it by the Grande Sun Moon in 2007 because they had more faith in the Grande Reverso case and size. Then, they started to think that the Ultra Thin case was THE case for the Reverso. And worked on the Reverso Triple Date. A perpetual evolution. Go... 

hey the non platinum stainless sun moon, if i were to order a strap what size would it be, i see on sites for example 16/14 18/6 etc. anyone know the size? thanks

I usually buy 19/16 for my SMPlatinum.

which is the one I posted above, the lug width is 20mm and the OEM specs are 20/18. Best Cholack

"Jewel" is a great choice of words for this Reverso. I love the dial here. Unbalanced as it may be, it is nevertheless interesting and beautiful enough to override any such concerns. The thickness of the case would be the major concern for me. After tryin... 

But I hear you, and when you get used to the UT cases, thickness is a detail which is important, not to say sensible. Something in between in size, not in thinness, would get all the votes, I think. These Reversos were very nicely representative of an era...
