1930s - World War II
1931 4th March - Reverso patented
1932 JLC prepared it’s first set of movements for the model, one of which was the caliber 410. These watch movements were considered as the JLC’s own in-house movements. 
1937 – 1938  Sale of first Reverso, since viewed as the 'Original'.

1950s - 1970s
Widely considered as a 'limbo period' where JLC used old stocks of material to produce the Reverso. It was also omitted from advertising during this time.
Early 1970s According to myth, Giorgio Corvo Italian JLC distributor and watch collector discovered a small number of Reverso cases during a visit to the JLC workshop in Switzerland. These cases were then fitted with movements, and sold in Italy, which led to it’s immediate success. 

1980s - 1990
In this period suffered an identity crisis, the Reverso was redesigned and tweaked from the original case size, offering various rectangular shaped Reverso, the face was also altered to include Roman numeral dials. 
1983 50th anniversary: Wider launch of the Reverso
1984 First water resistant Reverso.

1991 - 2009
1991 60th anniversary: Limited edition of 500 pieces, considered as adding a new dynamic to the Reverso collection. 
1993 Launch of the Reverso Tourbillon.
1994 Luanch of Reverso Duoface (one dial on each side).
Launch of the Reverso Minute Repeater.
1996 Introduction of the enamel workshop.
Launch of the Reverso Chronographe Retrograde.
1998 Launch of the Reverso Geographique.
Introduction of the Reverso pocket watch, discontinued in 2002.
2000c Launch of the Gran Sport Chronograph. First Reverso with an automatic watch movement.
2001 70th anniversary: Reverso Septantième', limited to 500 pieces, made of platinum. Launched in 2002. 
2002 Introduction of the XGT case, Reverso were known for being 'oversized' in keeping with watch trends of that time.
2006 75th anniversary: Reverso Squadra, a square face, thicker in depth, leading to the incorporation of further watch complications.
JLC released a limited edition, the Grande Complication à Triptyque (three dials, all powered by a single movement), it was branded as the most complicated Reverso ever built.

2009 - Present day
2009 Launch of the time-only Reverso 976 and dual-time Reverso 986. 
Launch of the Reverso Minute Repeater à Rideau.
2011 80th anniversary: Launch of the Grande Reverso Ultra Thin Tribute to 1931.
2016 85th anniversary: Launch of three Reversos: Tribute Duo (two faces), Reverso Tribute Calendar (two faces with a calendar function) and the Reverso Tribute Gyrotourbillon.
