JLC Minute repeaters

 

I am looking into some JLC Minute repeaters as they are wonderful, and seem undervalued.
Its a bit confusing as it seems some folks interchangeably use the term ‘Master Minute Repeater’, and ‘Master Grand Tradition Minute Repeater’. It seems however they are actually different Models and references? Its a bit confusing

Yes. They're different. Master only means round-cased in JLC-speak. Nice problem to have!

That is the general consensus that I have been hearing. I am not sure who else contends in terms of tone, loudness, and consistency.

I have not loved the few I’ve heard in person. The patek I’ve heard before has sounded better. YMMV.

JLC is seemingly cheaply priced for a good reason. Ask around here on WPS as for why. Plus one should NEVER buy a repeater without hearing it in person IMHO. Lots of lackluster-sounding examples from various retail brands out there imho.
