Jaeger Lecoultre Amvox 7. Some pictures, a video, and some thoughts.
When I think of the Amvox 7, I have hard time realizing that almost 7 years have passed since its unveiling...
As far as I remember, the Amvox 7 was the last Amvox, as the collaboration between Aston Martin and Jaeger Lecoultre ended with this watch.
The Amvox 7 is a kind of Swan Song. The collaboration between the 2 brands ended in beauty with the symbol of this collaboration.
Indeed, the Amvox 2 is, in my opinion, the best Amvox ever produced, something still unique in the horological universe.
The Amvox 7 is an Amvox 2 which goes farther, with its fresh design, even more linked to sports cars world, and its radial power reserve.

I still stay faithful to my Amvox II Platinum, truth to be told, as I am a big fan of the original design which ages with grace.
But this Amvox 7 has its own charm!
What do you think?
This is the kind of watch which makes me regret the end of this collaboration...

Super charming....
but it is neither an AMVOX II or an AMVOX III. Both of those would be my personal preference although third place when it comes to a majestic line like the AMVOX ain't bad at all! Cheers, Filip
The Amvox 7 is my favorite of the Amvoxes
Not a popular opinion, I know... Most would prefer Amvox 1 or Amvox 2, but I like the symmetry and more technical look of the Amvox 7. The non-quickset date is a no-go for me on the Amvox 1. These are from a time of great innovation at JLC. I hope a simil...
The non quick set date is due to the use of the Cal 918 in the Amvox 1, which was replaced only in 2006 with a modern alarm / world time caliber, then two years after by the Cal 956.
With a quick set of the date, this time... True that the Amvox 7 has a more technical look. And yes, please, JLC, please more stuff like this! All the best, John. Nicolas
