Is this an E168?
Hi
I have inherited a Jaeger-LeCoultre watch and would be most grateful if you could help me identify it fully. The guarantee states that it is a Cal.478B Model E168 gt's 9ct, Geophysic Chronometer watch 101, underneath the 101 someone has written 173.
I'm not sure which of the above help me to identify this watch fully. Any help you could give me would be much appreciated.
I've tried to add pictures which I hope post with this message.
Thanks

Thanks. What does this mean for this watch? As much as an enthusiast as I am, I'm an Omega man and more recent styles. Should I have this insured or to sell what would the value be if I were to sell it? Ball park figure? I guess that's why the guarantee (...

It is a typical 9k British Dennison cased Geophysic, no doubt at all, have seen enought 9k's in person to be 100% certain. ;) What does it help to open it and to see movement? Simple test: does it hack ie. does the watch stop from running when crown is pu...

Ok. The movement does stop when the crown is pulled. Here are pictures of the box, paperwork and strap. You can see the front of the box isn't in the best condition unfortunately. I hope this helps. ...
