... not likely that the sound is produced by a loose part of the movement

bouncing around in the case. As the 2008 RdM is equipped with cera-

mic ball bearings on the rotor I could imagine that the sound orignates

there. The ceramics are not lubricated (unlike steel ball bearings) and

therefore produce some noise when the watch is shaken and the rotor

comes into movement. When you hold the watch near your ear and turn

it you should hear the sound of the ball bearings and the clicking sound

of the winding system.
