I know a little about the 497. I too have a futurematic and once tried (successfully) to fix the “bumper” for the rotor. My only attempt at watchmaking. [nt]

A catch ... an unexpected find

Properly serviced and in very good unpolished condition. The back Running very, very good: 0 sec in two positions and +5 sec in two more positions: The quircky, "mad" movement inside this watch: My watch for this winter ... quite happy with it 😀! ...

It is not the rarest version but that does not matter to me. Very nice looking with tweed clothing 😀.

That movement, that movement ...😀: a hook in the rotor and a moving pin to catch the hook! But I like also the design too.

Please have also a look into details of the caliber 497, which is in my watch. If you do not know from It, you will be in for some engineering treats! Your watch is also very, very nice: pr, pointer date and small second ... mmmhhhh 😀!

The touch of red is quite thick painted, actually. Also if you have not read it before: the watch never runs down fully, and keeps some power reserve in order to run quickly again 😀.

It is fully wound and the rotor is not winding anymore, as it is hooked. If you are not familiar with the movement, I would recommend to you to read about it. Best Moritz

Much rarer than mine, I suppose. However, mine was good value for money, for a watch that offers unique engineering and watchmaking.

Your E 501 is top! I slightly prefer the pr hand versions over the porthole.

than the 497. Actually two new parts and not three: the second wheel has only a shorter pinion in the 817, rest of that wheel is identical for both. The other two additional parts are a "disque-cadran des secondes" and the coloured power reserve indicator...
