Help Needed To Identify This JLC Deco Watch

Oct 11, 2010,03:02 AM

Hi All, This is my first post onto the site, so treat me nicely! I bought a lovely JLC watch yesterday from a little Brick A Brack shop in Cleethorpes for a measly £165, now I like to think I know watches and I know this is worth more than what I paid for it, but what I do not know is ANYTHING about it at all!! Has anyone seen anything like this before? The guy in the shop said it was 50's but to be fair, he didn't seem to be clued up on watches, so I took his answer with a pinch of salt and thought I would try my luck with the real professionals on here. So, the picture, is the watch. Looks totally original and pretty much unworn, as it shows no signs of wear anywhere. Manual wind movement (signed) with all original crown and even the dial looks untouched. Its solid silver, hallmarked 0.925 and a shield type logo with initials JP in it (I think) Works fine and keeps good time.... Any help would be greatly appreciated. If anyone can point me in the right direction as to were I may get some help, valuation etc. I live in London, so plenty of shops in central london I could go to if I get no joy here Thanks in Advance Tom

Some of the pics are blur so it's tough to see. Do you have an ID/number on the watch case? Maybe Nic or others would be able to help as well? cheers PAt

You'll find that valuations/appraisals aren't allowed on most discussion forums, so I can't help you there. At the price you mentioned, I think you got an excellent bargain. I can tell you that your watch dates from the approximately the early-1970s, not ...
