Hello OCwatchnewbie!
Aug 04, 2009,13:35 PM
Greetings OCwatchnewbie!
Thanks for looking and I really appreciate you taking the time to post! Hopefully I captured the fun and excitement of the event.
The outside pics were a real challenge to shoot as I wanted to capture the boutique with the car but the glare with the sun was a huge problem. Also it was a very hot day and I felt bad to have Francesca sit inside the car to allow me to shoot, but she was gracious enough to do it anyway (isn't she awesome?). To make things worse, there were cars flying down the street so I had to shoot quickly to avoid getting run over. Stephanie and Kate (you two are the greatest!) were also busy setting up and greeting guests so they also deserve much credit for taking the time for me to take some shots. Anyone can shoot at home with a light box but when you are out there it's not easy! So much is going on but it's a lot of fun. My photo work is no where near enough to make it as a photojournalist but I do enjoy taking pics and continually trying to improve.
Are you into photography? If you are, have you stopped by our Photography forum ( www.network54.com )? There's some serious photographers there and a great group of people. Of course the PuristSPro TimeOut Forum is kick butt too!

By: DRMW : August 3rd, 2009-00:52
PuristsPro.com The JLC Amvox2 Chrono Racing meets the Aston Martin DB9! Black or white dial? Excellent choice either way! Jaeger LeCoultre hand crafted, assembled, and decorated in the Vallee de Joux, Switzerland. Aston Martin, hand built in England. A pe...

that the aston martin logo is green and apart from a limited editino of te AMvox1 (with a green dial, if I am not mistaken), the "british racing green" is less popular than orange. nice serie of pictures. I regret that the case is PVD titanium. A ceramic ...
Hello time2tic!
By: DRMW : August 3rd, 2009-10:43
Maybe orange color is popular as it is bright to draw the eyes more? If you look at an instrument cluster, the indicator of the speedo, rpm's,etc it is wise to use this color. I think JLC was invoking the racing partnership that they have had with Aston M...
by ceramic I meant ...
By: time2tic : August 3rd, 2009-22:54
not a ceramic coating but the massive ceramic case of the Amvox 3 which is the "new material" and finish that impressed me the most by far. JLC has invested in the equipment to produce the ceramic cases ( Amvox 3, reverso polo fields) and the equipment to...
The AMVOX1 R-Alarm in green
By: respo : August 4th, 2009-06:28
The AMVOX1 R-Alarm employed a green that may have reflected the green of the AM logo, if it did not accurately duplicate the color. But my impression has been that version of the AMVOX1 was not the most popular perhpas due to the colr or perhaps to the si...

JLC: Aston Martin DB9 Part4
By: DRMW : August 3rd, 2009-01:29
Nothing could be more impressive than pulling up to the JLC Beverly Hills Boutique in a Aston Martin DB9. The roar of the V12's 470 hp had everyone's attention. Ms. Francesca Smith, PR Manager for AM North America arrives in style! Cool watch...check! Coo...
I love the photo reports on such JLC events as these

For some reason they make me very happy. Thanks for posting so many great photos of sme lovely watches. Ming, was that your Rossi Chrono in one of those shots? Nice!!!! Did you try on the AMVOX3? respo
Yep!
By: DRMW : August 3rd, 2009-10:20
Hello respo! Thanks for the compliments and glad you are happily enjoying the photos! You have sharp eyes, I was wearing my favorite JLC that day...my MC Chrono 46! I was fortunate enough to spend some wrist time with all three watches and could have star...
I think white dial
By: respo : August 3rd, 2009-10:43
I am a little heavy on black dial watches at the moment, so a white dial appeals to me more. I am also not a big fan of black cases in general, with some exceptions. You can't go wrong with either of these racing editions, though, can you? respo
you are right....
By: MiniCooper : August 3rd, 2009-14:37
you cannot go wrong with any of the models Cheers
I haven't decided yet....
By: MiniCooper : August 3rd, 2009-19:44
if I am getting another one or not.... I agree though on the white dial I am thinking....... Maybe its a bit too much to have two........ Cheers
You already have the DBS, PP
By: amanico : August 3rd, 2009-22:24
So yes, it may be a bit too much... It wouldn't have been the seam if you had the First Amvox II... Although, even in this case... Best, Nicolas

The Racing is so different in its aesthetics... Ouch! Best, Nicolas
Agreed, Respo
By: amanico : August 3rd, 2009-14:44
I hesitate a lot between the white and the black dial...With a very light preference for the white... As it looks a bit like a modern reinterpretation of the Paul Newman Chrono... But I will come back to spea about these 2 models in some weeks. Best, Nico...
Hello BHK9!

Thanks for looking! What do you think of these Amvox2 variants? Black Dial or White? -MW
Individualistic......
By: BHK9 : August 9th, 2009-00:53
Hi MW, Hmmm..... If you ask me to choose from the two,i would prefer the black to the white ones. Black with the two case in black definately bring out the out look from far and the dial's combi are far more masculine and have this racing-hot blood flows ...
Gorgeous!
By: dxboon : August 11th, 2009-02:05
The DB9 would be my choice out of the current Aston lineup. Looks like a fun event. Great cars, great watches, all in sunny Beverly Hills. It's a hard job, MW, but somebody's got to do it, right? You lucky, fella! Thanks for the great pictures and informa...

Hello Stefan Ma!
By: DRMW : August 3rd, 2009-10:22
Did you like the Black or White dial better? -MW
I believe it will be well worth it.
By: MichaelC : August 3rd, 2009-10:05
I have handled some of the other Amvox chronos and they are all nice. A co-worker owns and frequently wears the RG LE version. It is stunning. But these new iterations have a very unique look to my eye.
I think.....
By: DRMW : August 3rd, 2009-10:27
I think it's the partial open dial and carbon counter discs that makes this particular version so appealing. -MW
Thanks MichaelC!

Clearly we see automotive cues in its design as well. Is the color behind the holes a light blue? It looks great IMO. It looks pliable and comfortable. Any other shots showing the clasp too?
The strap and clasp...
By: DRMW : August 3rd, 2009-13:36
The strap perforation are white, I think my camera white balance setting/difusser makes it look that way. The deployant clasp is the JLC double deployant. I will have video up shortly of the watches. -MW
Very nice
By: alunare : August 3rd, 2009-13:40
Fantastic pictures, thanks a lot. Here's what i think on 2 new Amvox Racing: - i love the strap. The orange is fantastic with the black, and overall the racing aspect is perfectly conveyed - If i had to choose between the two, with no hesitation, the whit...
