I agree with you on many of your points.
After seeing all the novelties of this year IRL, the Master Chrono is one of my favourites!
I still haven’t got any JLC chrono in my collection, always thought the dials look to busy.
But this one really caught my eye 
If, I will probably go for the regular steel hand version.

I'm hoping I don't have to fly out somewhere to pick up the boutique edition, it seems much nicer than the regular SS.
I don't think the Boutique Edition is nicer than the " normal " SS Chrono.
It is just different, warmer, more contrasted, less understated, less discrete, less sober. Honestly, I love both for their own character, and wouldn't be able to say that one is my favourite. Best, Nicolas
