forgotten about the solid back

Those both look great - the Master Geographic particularly. (Yes I know I've a Master Moon!). What I really like about it is they're both of the era when a crystal back was very much less common. It reminds me that you don't always need to see the movement and that the rear of the watch with a solid back can look good too.
Indeed, I think it'd be nice to be able to have the opportunity to have the gold medallion back. It adds a certain something to the watch that only you as the owner know about. Now with the prevalence of crystal backs it'd be a point of differentiation too.
