For several years
I commuted to work on my mountain bike on a model which at that time had no front (or rear) suspension while wearing a microbrand powered by an ETA automatic caliber, the watch never missed a beat and at that time I had a fairly aggressive riding style doing small jumps and on rough pavement the watch would bounce like if mounted on a jackhammer. I still have that watch and it still keeps good time.
I think it fits the application like a glove - pun intended....

I like using my watches and not babying them but even I would be reluctant to wear one mountain biking. That's a lot of vibration and impact! Have you done this often, and have your watches been surviving it?

The watch is still alive! But it was more of a single trail, I wouldn‘t go to a bike park or a downhill track with a mechanical watch…

Good to hear!
I definitely do commute through the city by bike and wear nice watches while doing so, but I ride pretty smoothly (at least, as smoothly as Boston pavement allows).
