Early 2000s Master Control Master Date

I was lucky to buy this in 2005 on ebay as NOS, 2 or 3 years after it was discontinued. I will confess that it took a very long time to grow on me. I even tried to sell it once or twice over the years. But as my taste in watches has 'mellowed' the appeal of this piece has grown. It has a hinged exhibition caseback and white gold case... I suspect one of the last models in this line, where they threw all the bells and whistles at it before discontinuing it.

I'm expecting delivery of the same model, only in stainless, in a few days. I chose it because of the vintage styling (I admit it, I love vintage and this watch has the look). Wear yours in good health!

The one I purchased comes with box and papers and as I said is scheduled to be delivered on Friday, at which time I'll post about it.

thank you! they are super watches and it was good to see them being revived a couple of years ago..

that new meteorite dialled one is amazing. Not sure why they went for a bigger size though, as I didn't think it was needed personally.

That is one of the nicest from JLC Master series of that period..

with a relatively thin but very elegant case. The WG hinged back is an added bonus.. /W72

Very nice! Do you know if you have two languages on the Day/Months disks or only one?

I find the fact that the watch was sold in different languages an exciting feature! Only english seems to be available nowadays. Best, E.
